I get up and start my day, and pray I make it through.
There are the names you call me; you try to make me frown.
But I have learned your bullying can never bring me down.
Words can be so hurtful, if you believe all that they say,
I know why they do it, because they were taught that way.

If only you got to know me or just given me a chance.
We might have been friends, under a different circumstance.
You do it to be cool, to be popular with peers.
You are overcompensating, to hide from your own fears.
You pick on ones that are quiet, too shy to say a word.
You do not use your fist, but your names are sharp as swords.
